Preventing the spread of disease keeps our patients and staff members safe, and is a top priority in our office. We utilize distilled water in clean water bottles instead of “city water” for our units. This allows us to control the cleanliness of the water and properly disinfect all of the air and water lines for our dental units.
Our instruments soak in an enzyme solution to dissolve biological proteins, go through a washing cycle, and then are sterilized. Our dental drills are flushed and then sterilized to ensure there is no cross-contamination. Once sterilized, the instruments stay wrapped and stored in a clean area to ensure they stay sterile until we open them for your appointment. We also participate with a weekly biological monitoring service to ensure the sterilizer is always working properly.
We encourage patients who are sick to reschedule their appointments, in order to help prevent the spread of airborne illnesses.
